Spring has sprung Sweets!! Here in good ‘ol NZ we are finally transitioning out of the cold, harsh winter and autumn seasons and have spotted the beautiful sun peeking through the clouds, woo!!
During spring I love to break out some of my brighter blushes, to give my face a healthy glow at the very slightest glimpse of the warmth and sun. This spring I am feeling the peachy tones and pink oranges, as they provide that beautiful flush of colour and energetic pop to the face!
Hourglass ambient lighting bush – Dim Infusion ($54NZ): This beauty is described as a subtle peach and provides a lovely glow and slight sheen to the cheek. This peachy orange is veined with a natural beige shimmer (Dim Light) and is perfect for those days when you are really bronzing up the skin and acts as blush/highlight combo!
Collection Blush – 02 Bashful ($14NZ): This is a soft coral blush with a pink undertone. It provides a nice subtle yet buildable colour on the cheek and has a nice shimmer laced within it.
The Balm – Frat Boy ($29NZ): This is a great all year round matte blush, which blends superbly and is, pigmented enough to add a lovely flush of colour to the cheek. It is a creamy pink/peach that is perfect when paired with a soft brown smokey eye! Love this one!
The BodyShop – Baked Bronzer, 01 Golden Bronze (aaprox$25NZ): This is one of my all-time favourite bornzers! Big claim right ha-ha? Golden Bronze applies effortlessly and has a pearl shimmer veined throughout, that helps to highlight the face and catches light in an incredibly flattering way. I love this bronzer for both shaping the face and sheering out the colour for that sun kissed luminosity on the cheek! It’s another all year type of product but is especially stunning during the spring/summer months because of its ability to warm the complexion and catch/attract light to all the right places on the face. Go and swatch this highly underrated product if you can!
NYX Powder Blush – Mocha ($11.50NZ): This is a beautifully pigmented matte blush, which has a soft, silky texture and is prefect for a more neutral cheek. As with most NYX blushes the name is quite deceiving as it doesn’t resemble a ‘mocha’ colour at all. Rather this is a romantic darker peachy-pink that leans more pink than anything else.
Bourjois Cream Blush – 02 Healthy Glow ($18.02NZ): This is the only cream blush that I have mentioned, as I typically go for powdered blushes, however this blush lasts well on the cheeks and I recommend this for all skin tones. This is a beautiful cream to powder blush that blends seamlessly with the fingers. I would describe Healthy Glow as vibrant apricot, with a subtle pink pear and has a demi matte finish. These blushes have a smooth buttery texture that gives off a fresh, natural complexion. Perfect for on the go, minimal looks and pairs amazingly with an equally coral/apricot lip.
Well there you have it Sweets, my current top pics for spring. What season are you in currently? I would love for you to share some of your ‘go to’ blushes. A girl can never have too many in my opinion 🙂
